Notice is hereby given that a Public Hearing will be held in Room 311, Third Floor,
Herkimer County Office Building, 109 Mary St., Herkimer, New York at 3:00 PM on
March 25, 2019 on matters of amending the texts of rules, and adding titles to the
Civil Service Rules. Such proposed changes are available for inspection during
business hours in the office of the Herkimer County Personnel Department in
Herkimer, New York.

Director of Emergency Services — Herkimer County seeks applicants for this administrative position involving responsibility for planning, directing, coordinating, and monitoring the various County Emergency Response Plans for Emergency Response & Emergency Management, Homeland Security and administering the operation of the County E911 Communications Center. The incumbent also acts as County Fire Coordinator. Minimum qualifications require a bachelor's degree and two years experience in the emergency service field (medical, fire, police, emergency response), one year must have been in a supervisory capacity: OR an associates degree and four years of such experience; OR high school graduation and six years of such experience.
